Flight of Angels and Gorge

The Aerial Masterpiece: Victoria Falls
The journey begins with the classic Flight of Angels circuit. You’ll soar over the 1.7km-wide curtain of water, performing synchronized 360-degree orbits. From this height, the "Smoke that Thunders" is a massive white wall of mist, and you can see the exact line where the calm Upper Zambezi suddenly vanishes into the earth.
The Descent into the Batoka Gorge
After circling the falls, the helicopter banks and follows the river downstream. This is the "Gorge" highlight of the flight:
White-Water Rapids from Above
The flight continues further downstream than the standard tour, reaching as far as Rapid #8 (Star Trek) or Rapid #11 (Overland Truck). From the air, you can see the sheer power of the water as it churns through the narrow basalt walls, often spotting tiny yellow rafts navigating the "Washing Machine" or "Terminator" rapids.
The Return Safari Leg
On the return leg back to the helipad, the pilot typically climbs higher, providing a panoramic view of the Zambezi National Park. This is your chance to spot "The Big Five" or herds of elephants moving toward the river for a drink, providing a peaceful contrast to the raw energy of the gorge.
